Can't decide what to read next? I can (probably) help!
Just let me know a couple of your favorite books, what genres you normally read, if there's anything you're looking for in specific, and a random tidbit about something that interests you. If need be, we can chat for a bit, try to find something that appeals to you. I'll try and figure out at least three or four books for you, if not more. Almost certainly more, in fact. (I average around 8-10 recommendations.) Fiction, nonfiction, or both.
If one of my recommendations doesn't work for you for literally any reason at all, just let me know, and I'll give you a new recommendation instead.
Training & Qualifications
I'm a natural speed reader- I read about a book every day or two on average, and have since a very young age. I read extremely widely in both fiction and nonfiction. (I did spend a good chunk of my earlier years reading nothing but science fiction and fantasy, but these days I'm all over the place.)

About Mountain Barber
I'm one of the shambling horde of aspiring authors in Portland. (My nonfiction selections? Not too bad. My fiction? We won't talk about that just yet.) I also read really, really fast. (I'm a natural ...speed reader). I also read all the time, so... I've read more books than is really healthy for me. Want a book recommendation? I might be able to help. Need some editing help or some feedback on your writing? I'm not a trained professional, by any means, but I certainly make a decent beta reader or proofreader. I'm also in school for geology, and previously attended college for history/english. (Not the best career decision). I grew up on a little hippy farm, so that translates into an ability to keep at least a few houseplants alive. I know a truly unnecessary amount of trivia. show moreOpen to other proposals
