About Michael Scialdone

I am an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Fredonia in the Department of Computer and Information Science. My research looks at how specific characteristics of technologies imp...act communication and interaction between actors in business, educational, and social contexts. Other interests include documenting the intellectual growth of human-computer interaction, understanding different conceptualizations of IT artifacts in IS literature. My research has been published in journals including the Association for Information Systems Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction and Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology; and has been presented at the International Conference on Information Systems, the Pacific Conference on Information Systems, the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, and iConference. I have a PhD in Information Science and Technology from Syracuse University, a MS in Information Design and Technology from SUNY Institute of Technology, and a BA in Communication Arts from Utica College.show more
