MAC upgrades / trouble shooting

I will install hard drives/ memory/ battery in a Mac of any sort. PLEASE DONT use the mac store or Geek Squad. You WILL be ripped off.
I haven't done a battery yet, but will probably soon do that since my batery has been in the Service Battery condition, for over a year now.
I make effective use of iFixit.com for parts. Crucial.com for memory, and my local GoodWill has amazing prices on laptop sized drives.
I can also help with other trouble shooting of OSX, such as installing a new OS to a different partition. Perhaps you have some older software that's preventing you from upgrading. I can show you how to do that.
Training & Qualifications
Ive been running my MacBook Pro since Dec 2009. Due to Pro Tools I've never updated beyond 10.6.8 until I recently remembered about the selecting a boot drive startup option giving me the realization that I could install El Capitan on a separate partition. I've updated my hard drive a few times. And the memory as well. It's very simple.
