About Michael Deju

Hey everyone! I'm Michael, a quirky, fun-loving musician with a passion for helping others. I work in addiction treatment for a living and I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. Beyond my... work life, guitar has been my creative outlet and means of self-expression for the past 9 years. My passion for music led me to learn (on my own and through classes) a bit of music theory and composition techniques along the way. All in all, I'm a genuine, kind-hearted person that only wants to leave a positive mark on the world in any way he can (and I believe I can do that one person at a time). Anyways, the services I'm hoping to provide all of you are guitar lessons, musical guidance, and counseling (primarily for addiction). My 9 years of experience with guitar, 3 years of classical guitar training, and picking up of various bits of music theory through classes and personal composition all allow me to cater my guitar tutoring services to your experience level and style preference (I can teach electric, acoustic, and classical). As someone who is registered with CCAPP and currently attending school to become certified in the addiction field, I value all of the experience I get at the treatment center where I work, and consistently feel the need to put it to use in other situations as well. Therefore, I am happy to help those who struggle with addiction or who have a loved one that struggles with addiction, and can serve as someone who will lend an experienced, unbiased ear.
