Mark Goodrich is an associate in Perkins Coie's Trademark, Copyright, Media and Brand Protection Group. He advises clients on a variety of regulatory compliance and enforcement issues, and assists companies in matters before the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and the National Advertising Division (NAD).
Mr. Goodrich regularly provides guidance on sweepstakes and contests rules and restrictions, and has developed experience with social media and online ".com" disclosure requirements. He also assists clients with navigating state and federal online gaming laws, lottery prohibitions, and other gambling related issues. He frequently provides counsel to clients on telemarketing requirements under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, related Federal Communications Commission rules, and the Federal Trade Commission's Telemarketing Sales Rule. In addition, Mr. Goodrich advises clients on marketing issues related to tax-exempt organizations, including commercial co-venture campaigns.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Goodrich worked in advertising and brand management for a large consumer product goods company, where he managed product promotions and collaborated with the advertising agency to develop creative executions. Through this experience, he gained perspective on the unique needs of marketers, both legal and otherwise.
