I will listen to your requirements and hand spin yarn just for you. I can create yarns in the weight and quantity you desire, and to your color specifications. I specialize in wool and animal fibers, but I can also use silk or synthetics, or even your own pet's hair or wool. Questions I will ask you include:
* What yarn weight and yardage would you like?
* What color(s) and/or color effects would you like? These can include natural/undyed, solid colors, tweed, gradients, heathered effects, and more
* What physical qualities would you like the yarn to have, such as gloss, feel, drape, and strength?
* Would you like your yarn to have texture or be an art yarn? I can spin you boucle, lockspun, thick-and-thin, beehive, corespun, and more
* Do you have any allergies to animals or animal fibers?
* What is your simbi budget for the project?
Pricing will vary based on the cost of materials and the amount of time needed. The unit price listed represents 1 skein of worsted weight wool yarn in a solid color. Luxury fibers, fine yarns, art yarns, and unusual color effects may cost more per skein. Bulky yarns may cost less. I may give discounts for larger orders. Training & Qualifications
I have been spinning for over 10 years, and I have transformed many sheep fleeces into finished garments. I am equipped to scour and card wool for spinning, as well as to spin and dye yarn. I have made many art yarns and many standard yarns. I know knitting, crochet, and weaving, so I can help design a yarn that will work as expected in your project.
