Hi! My name is Kayla. I'm an English major and Education minor grad from UC Berkeley. I'm also an avid nature lover, a passionate taiko player, a major bookworm, and a lover of language.
My senior undergrad thesis at Berkeley was all about participation, about how the audience or reader engages with the written word. I chose this because I feel that understanding and being conscious of your audience is a vital part of how we communicate - especially how we communicate through writing. I firmly believe in creating content that is composed with intent, down to the last word and punctuation mark.
I am want to work on a product - whether it be a piece of creative copy, an essay on Faulkner, or a resume - that is designed and painstakingly tailored for your target audience.
I am up for (and looking for) a challenge. If there are things I don't immediately know (which there always is), I approach the situation with the willingness and enthusiasm to learn. I've found that some of the best jobs I've ever had have been the ones that push me.
