Learn to draw: Manga Drawing
Try something new! Ever wanted to make your own comic? I can help with the basics to get you started.
•Traditional media: manga paper is unique! Dip pens and ink are the industry standard.
•Digital media: I use iPad Pro, Medibang //JUMP for comics.
•Perspective and human anatomy: not necessary to make a comic, but can make a story more dynamic.
•Story boards: make a simple one page comic, or try Japan's industry standard of 30 pages!
•Screentone: the do's and don'ts my professors taught me. Screentone adds depth and emotion to plain line art.
•Page layout: how to organize panels on the page so it's easy for readers to understand. Add word balloons and dialogue.
•Script writing: I'll go over the basics of writing scripts for comics. Proofread, and offer some advice from a reader's perspective.
