Dog Bath and Anal Gland Expression
18
Do you have a small dog that scoots it's bum across the ground? It's probably not worms. Your pup is likely attempting to express anal glands that are misfortunately placed in many small breeds, including pugs, daschunds, toy poodles, and chihuahuas. It's a dirty job, but if you have a dog that struggles with emptying these glands on his own, someone has to do it for him or the gland can become infected or impacted.
I will manually express your canine best friend's anal glands using either external or internal palpation depending on the location of your dogs glands (individual anatomy is always a little different). Because this is a stinky service I prefer to offer it with a bath, but if your dog needs regular help with this (many do), we can arrange an exchange that does not include a bath for less simbi (it's a quick service) or figure out a trade!
