About Julie Levett
Hello, I have been an RRT for 38 years with a B.S. in Health Administration. I have credentials in RPFT, CPFT, and Perinatal and Pediatric. I have been fortunate to have jobs in many aspects of Respiratory. I have run ABG labs with CAPS certifications. Run PFT labs. I have done stress testing, Holter testing, and home sleep testing when it was first introduced to the world. In my early years, I was a director. As time went on I became Assistant Directors of two larger facilities. I set up ventilator units in nursing homes. Set up home health for Respiratory in a smaller town. Besides, Respiratory I have always done side hustles. I taught CPR where needed, public places, steel mills, daycare in town and in churches. Companies to pass safety inspections. I taught ACLS, PALS, and NRP in various hospitals around the area.
Another area I jumped off into for a short couple of years because the opportunity presented itself was working for the Cherokee County Health Department in East Texas. I was responsible for keeping track of the strategic national stockpile (which you will probably never hear about outside this profile) and I traveled around the county and gave talks to schools, charity organizations, put on a conference for about 150 people. Interacted with other counties in the area and went to Austin to interact with the state to talk about emergency strategy. Counties work mostly on grants. My grant was up and I went back into Respiratory.
Yes, I've done a lot. I didn't expect it to turn out that way but sometimes life has other plans so you go along and do what you can. In a lot of ways, I've been blessed to have seen and participated so much.
