Starting Spring 2017 I will be offering food processing on location at farms or at Earthen Heart Community Homestead in Southwest Michigan. This food will be produced for personal consumption (not commercial sale). I have years of experience as a chef, making value added foods and cooking for large amounts of people. The idea here is to get crops processed into value added foods at the closest time related to harvest in order to preserve taste and nutrition. The host farmer or gardener should have ideas for what products they want and are encouraged to help. Harvesting should be done in advance prior to the popup trailer arriving to process.
