At a small liberal arts theatre, you learn to do everything. You learn to be involved and appreciate fields of study far from your own. Most importantly, you learn about your niche.
In theatre, it isn't enough to be talented or creative, you also have to be driven, focused and responsible. Otherwise, the design or film or production will not be the best that it can be.
This creativity is also important while troubleshooting and problem-solving as sometimes difficult problems require creative solutions. Being stuck in rote methodology often is detrimental to the people who are working together toward a solution.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Fine Arts in Sound Design at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Go Roos!
