I am a Graduate of the University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa. I was in the University of Alabama Honors Program for three years, and graduated with Top Honors (McWayne Scholarship). I earned a BFA in Studio Art [Photography, Painting, and Graphic Design] with a Minor in Creative Writing. As a photographer, I have experience with small and medium format cameras. I also have experience with digital photography. I completed Adobe Professional Suite 3.0 and 4.0 [Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver, and Flash], and Bryce 5.5. I am experienced with Microsoft Office. I was Web-Designer for the University of Alabama Environmental Council (UAEC). I was Art Editor for the Marrs Field Journal, a Double Golden Crown and Silver Crown [2004] Award winning student magazine. I have experience in record keeping, having been Secretary in the University of Alabama's Art Student's League [Roger’s Rules]. I have worked with the English Language Institute at the University of Alabama, and have been abroad, traveling to Greece, England, Scotland, Wales, Austria, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and Germany. I am flexible and versatile, and able to maintain a sense of humor under pressure. I am able to work in a deadline driven environment, and have excellent team building skills.
My Graphic Design goals, in essence, are to represent the client’s needs and desires. In presenting my client’s product, I want to offer an image that the target audience will appreciate and admire, while providing for the client a symbol that is both alluring and encompassing. I want the audience to view the product, to touch it, and to feel the need to take it home with them. In doing this, I feel I have accomplished what the client wants from me.
