I will teach you the art of ceramics. Whether that be handbuilding or throwing. I can teach handbuilding virtually if you can find some clay. If you are in the San Diego area I can teach you either handbuilding or throwing. For throwing I will first explain the process and how clay should be worked with. I will then show you how to throw first and talk you through the steps while you watch. Next I will set you up on the wheel. I will teach you to first center the clay. Then to pull the clay up to get the height needed. And lastly I will show you to shape the piece as desired and shape the bottom. It is a lot of hard work but is very gratifying. If you would like to see the piece completed we can book another session. In this session we would decorate the surface and glaze it. I would then fire the piece for you and then I could give it to you.
