30 minute crochet lesson
10
I will teach you how to chain, as well as slip stitch, and build off the chain to make mesh.* I'll show you what terminology for this craft is as you work, and how to count your stitches. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have, including how to care for finished items.
What you will need:
Size J hook or larger
Medium (4) yarn or yarn appropriate for your hook.
Note: when working with your hands, smaller isn't easier. These materials should be easy on your hands to start, but if you have carpal tunnel get a couple sizes bigger.
*Most get disheartened because they can't single crochet after making the chain. They usually make one long chain (sometimes long enough to wrap around tgeir house), then sigh gloomily that they can't make anything amazing. If you can chain, you can make anything, I promise.
Training & Qualifications
My Mom taught me how to crochet when I visited her during the summer back in 2014. She says I picked it up quickly, and that my stitches were very uniform for a beginner. She also is amazed that I can make something without a pattern, just on the fly.
Availability & Preferences
Afternoons and evenings. Also a night owl.
