I graduated with a degree in theater, specializing in makeup. My specialty is acrylic teeth! Truthfully, I never applied myself to learning how to do normal makeup, and now wish I had. But monster masks and gunshot wounds are my forte.
I've been writing since I was 16; first fiction, and now mostly blogging for activist purposes. I'm passionate about doing good with my writing, and improving it constantly. Writing is what I really want to do with my life.
I had to start modifying my diet to prevent fibromyalgia symptoms about five years ago, which was a huge blow to my pastry and candy making habits at the time, but I've since adjusted, and can now make a variety of beautiful gluten and grain free cakes, cookies, etc, as well as chocolates and other candies. If you have an allergy or food sensitivity, I can come up with a substitute, for everything from meat to cheese to gluten to sugar. Because I've gone without eating pretty much all of it at one point! My whole family loves my cheesy grain-free "Hamburger helper."
I can "art" with just about any material you give me. My current obsession is polymer clay. One thing I'm most known for is my flower circlets, which I taught myself to make with fresh flowers while in elementary school, and have continued expanding my skills with different types of floral materials, gems, and more. I want to make some with fiber optics! I recently discovered these skills translate very well into decorative wreath making, and since then, I've actually had relatives requesting my wreaths for gifts. They are unusual, and far better than what you'd find in the craft store.
