Genealogy Research Consultation
I work professionally as a Genealogy Reference Librarian. My specialization is with Texas and Indian Territory records, but I have resources available to search more broadly within the United States as well. I am able to assist with beginning the genealogy process or breaking through "brick walls."
For people beginning the process, it is most helpful if you have at least one grandparent's name as well as a place of residence and approximate date of birth/death for that grandparent.
I will provide either one hour of beginning Genealogy or help adressing specific challenges you have faced in your own research.
For genealogy beginners, you can expect to receive copies of original documents relating to your family. These include birth/death certificates, census records, possible military records, and other available documentation. You can also expect to receive information about earlier generations.
For specific genealogy questions, results will vary based on circumstances. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Training & Qualifications
I have worked as a Genealogy Researcher in both Texas and Oklahoma. I have helped people across the county trace their heritage and learn more about their roots. While the majority of the research I do has been based in Texas and Oklahoma, I have resources available for research across the county as well as some immigration resources.
Availability & Preferences
My schedule is very flexible.
