One hour of Fossil Hunting (Beach)
25
The beaches along Lake Erie are lined with fantastic fossils. I will guide you to some hot spots and show you what to look for and discuss species, eras and local geology. The fossils are largely different types of corals from when the great lakes region was the bottom of an ancient ocean.
Keep all you find! Bring a bucket, beach shoes, hat and a folding chair. You might also include glasses/magnifying glass, beverages, sunscreen and gloves.
I'm a long time rock hound who has been combing landscapes for treasures for 30 years.
