Ten years ago as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps I got a tattoo (not my first, not my last) that says "I serve so that others may live". I was willing to put my life in harms way so that others wouldn't have to. Although my career path has dramatically changed, the sentiment of that tattoo has not.

Now I am a bookkeeper. Just as with my time in the Marine Corps, I enjoy what I do even though others can't fathom enjoying it themselves. I happily do all the boring, tedious bookkeeping tasks so that busy entrepreneurs don't have to.

With 11 years of service I learned many universal lessons that have set me up to be a great bookkeeper. Dedication to my work, attention to detail, accuracy, and loyalty are all things that have been ingrained in me and guide me as I work.
