About Garv Manchanda

11th December 2011,I kick-started my career by co-founding my first entrepreneurial venture called Phokat Bag .Young and Dynamic, we set out to change the society by leveraging the fact that Polythene... just got banned and giving free cloth bags to consumers is financially exhausting for small shopkeepers and street vendors. So, Phokat Bag started the concept of Cloth Bag Advertising. We were profitable but not scalable. As college ended, the desire to learn and earn got bigger and i joined an IT consulting (it seemed like a perfect mix of work life balance and gave me time to work on my own ideas). After a one and a half year stint, i moved to work in a Start-Up called LetsEndorse with a college friend simultaneously giving my CAT interviews. I also worked for a NGO Jagriti Sewa Sansthan and helped organise the much renowned Jagriti Yatra (a 15 day, 8000km national journey to understand India and promote Entrepreneurship) . Then, another exhilarating journey of my life started at a B School (IIM Kozhikode, 2014-2016). I did my summer internship at Loreal India and handled Marketing for a new product launch; also fell in love with Mumbai during that time. Currently, I am working in Artha Real Estate Pvt Ltd, a real estate company based out of Bangalore, for their upcoming ambitious project called Emprasa Startup City. My work day revolves around meeting start-ups, accelerators and VC’s and pitching them this amazing concept of Start-up City where we are trying to build an inclusive community of talent and startups. We also have Co-Working spaces in Bangalore known by the Name Cowork247 and work with bright young talent to get started with their customer acquisition. So far i have worked with two start-ups in a span of nearly two months and strategized their sales and customer acquisition plan. I love music, travelling & can read anything nonfiction. show more
