Erin is a certified yoga instructor, e-RYT 200 and RYT 500 through Yoga Alliance. Under the guidance of her primary teacher, Becky Gelatt, Erin became a senior teacher and faculty member at the Yoga Center of Louisiana offering Ha~Ta~Raj Yoga (Hatha-Tantra-Raja). She has studied in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya's students, including B.K.S. Iyengar, T.K.V. Desikachar, and Gary Kraftsow, founder of American Viniyoga Institute. Erin is currently a student at the College of Yoga Therapy and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. With her strong focus on adaptive yoga, Erin strives to help people make realistic life-long changes to improve their health and overall wellbeing. Her Viniyoga- and Iyengar-inspired classes offer a balancing sequence of postures, and combined with breath work, meditation, evidence-based relaxation techniques and joint mobilization practices designed to prepare the body to practice without strain, Erin’s classes are appropriate for beginners and seasoned students alike. When not practicing and teaching yoga, Erin enjoys kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding and travel.
