3d CAD design lessons
I am a self-taught 3d CAD designer who only works in the free stuff...so you don't need those super expensive 3d CAD design programs to learn!
I teach in Blender and Sketchup.
After...hmm, 5+ years of youtube, wikis, reading, and figuring it all out for myself, I am good for teaching beginner to intermediate levels of 3d CAD design. Many of my lessons are fairly universal to any software, so while the button presses may be different, there are some core philosophies that would be easily applicable to any software.
I can teach:
Optimization for games from those such as MMORPGs to games like SecondLife.
Rigging for animation
Import into SecondLife. (Please note, this almost requires a Blender plug-in for rigged mesh that's about $30 last time I checked.)
UV unwrapping for easy texturing.
Creating physics for static objects for games.
Organic and non-organic design.
I do not teach texturing beyond the basics, because this is such a quirky thing that varies from person to person.
A decent computer is required for these lessons. Before reaching out to me, I request that you install either or both Blender and/or Sketchup and run it for a little while to ensure your computer is able to handle the load.
Each session is an indeterminable amount of time, because instead of saying that I will get everything taught to you within one hour as I can, I say "here are our goals, let's reach them." Some people may catch on quickly, while others may take a little longer.
I would say give yourself about an hour or so for each session.
I prefer to teach over Skype or Google Hangouts, something that I can share my screen with you. Discord does not currently offer this service, so that is presently not an option.
Availability & Preferences
My availability is very wiggly, so this is something we'll have to discuss.
