1-Pg. English Language Proofreading
10
1 of 2) I will read ONE PAGE of your article/essay/blog and check for grammatical errors. Any grammatical errors that are found will be highlighted or noted and there will be at least one correct option given that you can use instead.
2 of 2) I especially excel in working with ESL (English as a Second Language) students, and I can also help you make your writing sound more natural. If there is anything unclear, and I can understand what you are trying to communicate, I will give you several wording options you can use to replace it. If I cannot understand what you are trying to say, I will ask several questions to help you decide how to better communicate what you're trying to communicate.
Feel free to send over your work to be proofread! This is definitely a good option for someone who is an ESL learner or someone who feels like they have done all the proofreading and editing that they can on their own.
Training & Qualifications
I am a trained instructor. I first began my training in the teaching field while I was at a community college. I was hired as a writing consultant and trained in assisting college and high school students with their essays and assignments, as well as college applications. I worked in high school classrooms, one-on-one, and in ESL classrooms. I was fortunate enough to transfer to UCLA, get my bachelor's degree, and then was accepted into a master's program at UCLA. I began working as a Teaching Assistant (TA) which meant that every week, I led labs and classes in a variety of topics ranging from communications to biology and ecology. I was then chosen to work as a Teaching Assistant Consultant where I worked with two UCLA professors in training new TAs. Through this class, I learned the most cutting-edge instructional techniques.
All of these opportunities and roles have allowed me to become a better reader, writer, and teacher.

I'm usually free on Thursdays and Fridays.
