I can provide childcare! My dayjob is as a home health nurse for medically fragile children. While I won't be wearing my "nursing hat" while providing childcare (liability!) it is the background from which I see the world. I have a clear background check (you have to, to be in good standing as a nurse- it's renewed every 2 years) and also approved by DHS to enter client homes (renewed yearly). I have worked with kids of many ages- from very young infants to 9 years old. So that's the nitty gritty part- you can trust me and I'm medically certified! Now for the fun part- I'm good with kids. I have fun with them. I honestly enjoy their company, and love the imagination and energy. And, as anyone related to a nurse can attest, I have no problem setting limits =)
I also love the "mother's helper" role- I can help with childcare, freeing you up to catch up on a book, clean your kitchen, or spend time with one sibling while I care for the other.
Training & Qualifications
See description- I'm an RN (with my BSN degree) and have my current nursing license in the state of Oregon. While I will NOT be in the role of a nurse during care, what's better than knowing that your babysitter not only knows but has actually given CPR?
Availability & Preferences
I work weekends, so weeknights are best for me! (not Fridays though!) Afternoon or early evenings are really ideal.
