As a vocalist and voice teacher immersed in folk music, sacred music, and sound healing modalities from around the world, I delight in offering individual and group sessions to share the transformative possibilities of the vocal arts and demystify music theory for children and adults. In addition, I offer music and vocal play for those in skilled nursing facilities and hospice care, especially our elders. I believe with my whole heart it is our birthright to sing and dance, and in so doing, to connect with and cultivate our wholeness.
I am thankful to be a life-long student of master musicians, to refine my voice and and further grow my teaching and community offerings. I studied psychology and mythology at UC Berkeley and am a graduate of the Sound, Voice, and Music Healing program at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
I also have many hands-on skills I love to share and be service in a myriad of ways, from antique carpet restoration to hand sewing to jewelry making and teaching TIG welding. I highly enjoy the sense of renewal I feel each time I fix something, keeping things in use and out of landfills!
