About Edward Carter

I am an IT professional that has a passion for computer networking and all things gadgety. I enjoy troubleshooting complex problems and developing appropriate solutions. I have been a bit of a tech ge...ek since I was a kid and have taken this lifelong interest and molded it into a professional skill that I can use to do work that I truly enjoy. I have experience in supporting small business IT needs from desktop support (pc's laptops, printers, etc) to networking and server needs. I have worked with friends and family and professional clients alike to help resolve the smallest issues (technically speaking) that may only have required a change in a computer setting or correcting a physical setup problem, up to very large scale problems that require multi-faceted solutions with a carefully planned execution strategy to ensure no unexpected side effects occur in resolving the issue. I also have experience in supporting Enterprise level data networks. I am Cisco certified in both CCNA Routing and Switching and CCNA Data Center technologies. Computer networking is my primary IT passion. I enjoy the design and implementation process of taking a set of needs and requirements and mapping out a solution that meets, and hopefully exceeds, the customers expectations. In all of my work, I strive to consider primary factors like cost, value, and scalability (or future growth/ compatibility) in any solutions I provide. I'm a musician by hobby and play drums in a band with a few of my friends from around Nashville. I am a father of 2 boys and a husband to a loving and creative wife. My family and I strive to be health conscious by eating well and staying active. We enjoy gardening both for our own purposes as well as others. We are strong supporters of community and are continuing to search for like minded people to share our passions with.
