I am a Senior Research SDE in the Mobile and Networking Group at Microsoft Research in Redmond, WA. Here I spend my time working on Cloud computing, Mobile systems, Video streaming, Video Analysis, Videogames, Head-mounted displays, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Computer network and Distributed Systems. Through my work I have collaborated in the past with product groups in Azure and Xbox.
Before joining Microsoft, I was a Research Scientist at the Networking and Communications Lab at HP Labs in Palo Alto, CA. I got my M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science at Duke University. While working on my dissertation I participated in internships and collaborated with researchers at Microsoft Research and Nokia Research.I also worked on Privacy before joining grad school at Carnegie Mellon in the CUPS Lab on Privacy Bird. I got my bachelors degree in Computer Science at ITESM in Mexico City.
I have experience as a Software Architect and I am comfortable working in large projects with hundreds of developers. During my time at HP I managed remotely a team of developers working on a mobile research prototype.
