Henna: Mehndi and Jagua
Henna is a general term which pertains to temporarily staining of the skin using dye paste from the henna plant, mainly Mehndi (more commonly referred to simply as henna). It originates from India and leaves a reddish brown stain lasting one to three weeks. Few have any issues with it, save for those with a G6PD deficiency.
Like Mehndi, Jagua is a temporary staining of the skin. Jagua originates from South America using the extract from the Jagua fruit, and stains blueish black, similar to a real tattoo. Jagua lasts one to two weeks.
EDIT: Due to the high cost of Jagua, I will only be using Mehndi henna.
Most of my henna designs are my own, but I can also do requests by example.
