Introduction to fermented foods

I will take you through the process of creating either your own fermented vegetables (think sauerkraut) or your own home-brewed beverage (beer, wine, mead, rootbeer), including necessary ingredients, equipment, and tips. Expect a half-hour tour/consultation.
Training & Qualifications
I'm just an amateur homebrewer who's read a bit on wild ferments from around the world and am exploring a bit on my own. I'm not really a handyman or a people person, but I'm an ideas guy.
Availability & Preferences
With three young kids, we're pretty busy but can schedule to meet most Saturdays, Sundays, and summer weekdays.
