Career Paramedic, former Firefighter, amateur genealogist and history buff, nonprofit owner. I've been through some crazy things in life but I've managed to find my way. I'm good with networking and fumbling through things I don't know about until I figure it out, so I might as well share my experiences and insight. It's been my experience that the human connection has been more powerful than paying for things. Operating in the nonprofit field has been a challenge, but after some study I was able to survive year one pretty well. Coming up on an end to year 2, I've had some pretty good successes. I am not afraid to fail - and I certainly have - but I came away learning from my experiences with a stronger sense of the industry and better sense of self. My agency works with first responders and veterans assisting them through the wellness journey including issues with mental health and addiction. It's not easy work, but it needs to be done so others don't fall through the cracks like I did.
