Math and Physics Tutoring
35
I am an experienced tutor of math and physics, primarily to high school or college students. I teach in home or in a public location- all lower division mathematics or physics, including the SAT Reasoning and Subject Tests.
My style in tutoring is, at its heart, pragmatic. I like the idea of leading students to answers. Of giving them the deep understanding that underlies true learning. It's the best way, and often I do it. Often I don't. Cramming exists for a reason. As a professional tutor I have two years of experience; as a helper in learning I have a lifetime of experience. I have been helping fellow classmates understand science concepts and homework as long as I can remember. Heck, I've even done a bit of their homework, but let's not talk about that. I have excellent presentation skills and I know how to convey information. I do my best to teach not only the subject, but the skill set for learning the subject independently. I'm a pretty happy guy, and I do my best to share that with whoever I tutor.
