Training & Qualifications
I study philosophy at school, so I've to read and write quite a bit. Not the greatest writer, but I'm clear, concise and structured. Academia just laps that stuff up!
All the better if I'm not familiar with the specifics of the essay's subject matter (as will probably happen); it's usually a good mark of the work's clarity when an untrained set of eyes can understand it.
