I am a state and federally licensed taxidermist. I am willing to mount any legally collected specimens. I also offer bone cleaning services. I make customized jewelry and unique artwork from salvaged animal parts. I own a bait and tackle shop as well so I can give you hunting and fishing tips and tricks. I spent almost 10 years as a medic for the Iowa Army National Guard so I can give camping, survival and first aid advice. Like to eat wild game? I have a lot of great recipes for all kinds of game. Prior to joining the military I spent some time working at Des Moines Golf and Country Club so I have excellent culinary experience. I enjoy sharing my love of the outdoors and educating those willing to learn. Please feel free to ask any questions you have regarding these or any other similar topics.
Training & Qualifications
Professional trained and fully licensed taxidermist. Full course taken at Hutton Valley School of Taxidermy and 6 Month Taxidermy Apprenticeship with Kent Hueser. I am trained in bone cleaning, tanning (hair on only), game heads, full body, fish (skin and replica), birds (upland and migratory), snakes, habitat display, and rugs. I have won 3 Blue Ribbons, Best of Category, and Best First Time Entry from the Iowa Taxidermy Association in waterfowl and upland birds in my first year of competition.
