Beach Naturalist
25
I will lead you and your friends and/or family on a beach walk at low tide. I'll show you what lives there in the sand, the rocks, and beneath all that, too. I'll teach you all about the amazing crabs, fish, algae, sea stars, mollusks, worms, and other incredible invertebrates that make the intertidal area their home.
Training & Qualifications
I am a professional naturalist at The Environmental Science Center, Pacific Marine Research's Marine Science Afloat Program, and I lead beachwalks, kayak excursions, and teach marine science at Camp Quest Northwest. My bachelors degree from Univeristy of Washington is in general biology with a focus on marine invertebrates. I was also a naturalist for Victoria Clipper's Whale and Sealife Search for the summers of almost ten years.
