Customized Meditation for Anxiety
I will teach you a meditation that is designed specifically for you. Anxiety, overwhelm, fear, and worry require certain techniques, whereas anger, jealousy, and other hot emotions require something completely different. I get great feedback from my current students!
Training & Qualifications
Cassandra McDonough teaches meditative, rhythmic, and bhakti-powered Vinyasa yoga in the Prana Flow style as well as a more gentle Kripalu “Hatha” yoga. She is a Kripalu 500-hr certified yoga instructor, as well as a 300-hr graduate of the Prana Flow Vinyasa training with Shiva Rea. She has also completed Prenatal training with Jane Austin andRestorative Yoga Teacher training with Judith Lasater at Yoga Tree in San Francisco for a total of over 900 certification hours in yoga alone. Cassandra is also deeply immersed in the study and practice of Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science. After attending the California College of Ayurveda, she is now an Ayurvedic Health Educator, offering over 700 additional hours of certification hours in the art of “the original” yoga therapy. She has been a student of yoga since age 14, practicing for more than 15 years, and teaching for almost a decade to date. Yoga has helped Cassandra completely heal moderate scoliosis, sciatica and lower back pain, anxiety, thyroid disease, and has intimately connected her to the great wonder of life itself.
The intensity of Cassandra’s practice is in large part owed to volunteering at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA. In 2009, she spent a full year immersed in an intensive live-in program where she had the opportunity to study with many world-renowned teachers from many healing traditions. During this time Cassandra also developed a deep off-the-mat yoga practice, learning how to use yoga to actually heal her whole life. Her most influential teachers are Mark Whitwell and Shiva Rea, who both espouse a breath-centered and life-affirming practice. Yoga allows you to “have your life!” in the words of Mark Whitwell. She invites student-friends to embrace the healing practice of yoga as she continues on her own path.
