10 min DIYelectro-mechanical advice
10
Provide the best advice I can on diagnosing, troubleshooting or repairing anything electro-mechanical. Former ASE mechanic turned molecular diagnostic medical instrument repair tech. Also I'm a home owner so I have some handy experience with many appliances including fish ponds, hot tubs, washers, dryers, dish washers etc. I haven't seen it all but I know how most of it works. You would be surprised how redundant systems are across many things electro mechanical. Physics are the same and there are only so many ways to pump water, vary voltage, or produce heat. Once you start doing your own repair work you will realize that you have been wasting money on those service calls or those visits to your mechanic. It was just 2 bolts that needed removed to replace that part. It was just that wire connection that was loose on that connection. Of course its not always that simple but many times it is. So if you have some tools and a bit of will power lets DIY your repair!
Training & Qualifications
Ive always had a passion for understanding how things work. As a kid I was interested not only in cars but also electronics in the form of loud music and HAM radio (not at the same time lol). I have been repairing cars since i was 16. I worked in the automotive repair industry up until an opportunity to use more of my electronic skills came along. I was given an opportunity to work on medical instruments almost 2 years ago and been doing so successfully since. Most of what I currently do revolves around molecular diagnostics and sample prep automation. I am also a DIY kind of guy that owns a home so needless to say I have repaired many household appliances from dishwashers to spas. You would be amazed how much money you can save by fixing things yourself. I promise to give you my best advice on a quality and affordable approach to your repair. I also have no problem admitting things I dont know and will admit so if thats the case. So I hope to help you save money by guiding you through your own DIY repair. DIY is a great way to learn and build self confidence in your next repair.
