About Bruce Emehiser

I am currently a Software Engineering working for Aspera IBM in Emeryville California. In this position I have been able to learn functionality of the core software which is developed by Aspera for hi...gh speed data transfer. In addition, I have had opportunity to test APIs which are produced for developers. I have also worked with several CI test automation systems used to build and test software. I also worked for Aspera as a Software Engineering Intern during Summer 2016, and am glad to have the opportunity to continue with the company. Previously, I was a Computer Science student at Eastern Washington. While enrolled as a student I had the opportunity to work as a Computer Science Lab Tutor. In that position I was able to help other students to understand the various core concepts of Computer Science, and the Java, C, and Python programming languages, and through my teaching of others was able to increase my understanding of the topics and material as well. During this time, I have also had the opportunity to tutor classmates of mine in Android Mobile Development. Many times, I would have struggled with an issue, finally solved it, then had it reinforced by teaching the concept to someone else. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science, Cum Laude, in December 2016.
