Anxiety/Stress Relief
20
During a 30-60 minute session, I will listen to your concerns about your anxiety and/or stress and offer relief, coping mechanisms, and/or advice.
Being affected with anxiety my entire life, I have learned a myriad of different coping strategies and methods to calm down when acute attacks hit. Due to my experience, I know how hard living with anxiety is, and I want to help guide others through their own personal waves of it and regain control of their lives.
What I can provide is what you need. If you need someone to vent to, someone to offer advice, someone to just sit with you, or anything; I'm there. Reach out, and we'll get through this together.
Training & Qualifications
I am a second year psychology major at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, with a focus in counseling and autistic studies. In addition, I have about a year of experience working as a Residential Counselor at a group home specializing in mental health care, with my patients typically having anywhere from generalized anxiety disorder to paranoid schizophrenia. We focus on creating a homelike environment, and straying away from the harshness of clinical facilities and hospitals.
I also know what it's like firsthand to struggle with anxiety and panic disorder, so my help will be as far from clinical as possible.
