I'm a video editor and encoder with National Cinemedia, an advertising network that places ads before movies in major theatre chains throughout the country, as well as the innovators of the FirstLook preshow. In this role, I edit and encode interstitials clips for the FirstLook show, regional advertisements, and quality check all files I work on. I also write the voiceover script for the FirstLook show, ensuring that each content piece has a unique personality while still flowing well with the rest of the show. I use Adobe Premiere and Encoder on a daily basis, as well as some limited AfterEffects, and work with multiple high-pressure deadlines on a weekly basis. I'm a cool head in stressful situations; when others can be emotional and upset by sudden curveballs, I choose to get the job done with efficiency, accuracy, and a steady supply of tea.
In my spare time, I volunteer with the local alumna chapter of my sorority as the Philanthropy Chair, and serve as the editor of the newsletter for the Junior League of Denver's quarterly publication. These positions draw on my experience with event planning, communications and public relations, and editing, all taken from past freelance positions that I've held throughout the years. I also have experience in WordPress, basic HTML and CSS, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Microsoft Office apps, and a plethora of other programs.
Experimenting with technology is one of my favorite pastimes, and if I'm not trying out the newest gadgets and apps, I'm testing the newest games or crafting techniques to stretch my creativity.
