I am a man of simple tastes. When it comes to work, I enjoy solving interesting problems with data, and having fun while doing it.
I'm at my best when the people around me are at their best, so I like to think of my work in terms of how it helps out the rest of the team. Though I'm often pretty content to keep my head down and work on my own, I excel when I know that my work is part of something bigger, something that will help someone else do his or her job better. Whether I'm troubleshooting the flow of incoming data so that our analysts can get the most out of it, passing along skills and best practices to other members of our global Data Engineering team, or planning this month's company happy hour, I make sure that I'm doing what I can to set my team and our products up for success.
When it comes to gaming (another very big part of who I am), much like my work self, I have the most fun when my team is doing well, which is why I jump to play the support role whenever possible in multi-player or co-op games. But if the game is strictly free-for-all, your friendship means nothing to me. I mean, we can still hang out afterwards, but during the actual game, I will give you no quarter.
I'm always open to interesting network opportunities and discussions, so feel free to reach out!
