Art or Craft Mentor
Are you an artist, crafter, or maker who needs some external encouragement to move forward on your creative journey? Or are you looking for a new hobby for your spare time? Are you a dreamer and explorer? Or do you prefer to focus on the technical details? Whoever you are, you have curiosity and are eager to learn. Let's work together to meet your creative goals.
I would love to share my enthusiasm for handcrafts (and arts) with you. I can help you decide what type of hobby, art, or craft you are interested in based on your personality. I can also help you get started learning your new hobby. As a librarian, I can assist by locating effective resources for learning even if I am not familiar with the specific hobby, but here are some of the areas in which I am experienced or knowledgeable:
Hand spinning yarn, felting, knitting, crochet, quilting and sewing, pysanky egg decorating, bookbinding, papermaking, lacemaking, embroidery, smocking, fabric and yarn dying, rug making, basket making, gardening, bonsai.
If you seriously want to learn something new or expand on your current skills, we will make a plan together, and I will be available to walk you through the creative journey.
Mentoring includes unlimited messaging for a month. We can also schedule weekly voice-to-voice meetings. I look forward to meeting you, learning about your goals, and watching you make progress toward those goals.
