Voice and language are perhaps the two things that fascinate me the most, and communication is my passion. I have a bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Japanese, a master's in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, and I went through a specialized intensive summer program to learn more about voice science. I'm a speech-language pathologist (voice/swallowing/airway mainly) and work in research as a lab coordinator. I can't offer speech therapy services through here, but feel free to ask questions about the field.
Hobbies of mine include: swimming, playing the harp (started in 2010), singing, brunching, and making coffee (former barista). I used to do a lot of writing and won scholarships and awards for it, so I'm a good resource for that. I'm also quite good at turning an angry email draft into a more professional, productive one. Other topics I know a lot about include: growing citrus trees, and keeping a freshwater aquarium. I worked as an RA in college and had a lot of training with mediation/conflict resolution, so I may be useful there.
Things I'm particularly interested in include:
-Japanese language tutoring (studied it for 7 years but have forgotten a lot of it)
-Piano lessons (would like to learn scales, basic accompaniment I could use with singing patients)
-Learning about voice over work/audiobook narration (would like to start)
