Easy and Fun Lesson in Jazz Piano!
25
An hour-long gentle introduction into the world of jazz music, and, more specifically, jazz piano.
Topics of discussion include the basics of rhythm, harmony, and melody as they apply to jazz music. More importantly, I hope to share how you can turn these concepts into real skills that will help you use music and jazz improvisation as a means for wellness, connection to others and meaning in your life!
For this lesson, minimal to moderate experience with the piano/fundamentals of music theory recommended but not required! I would be delighted (and honoured) to be your first guide in the world of making music for yourself.
I am a second year student in Jazz Piano Performance at the University of Toronto and am always searching for new ways to impact others through my love of music.
