In the past I have assessed and taught kids math starting at their level. I have had to figure out exactly where their problems in math lie and target those gaps specifically. I know many tricks to math that actually help in an adults life and can make things like saving money on food and clothing, calculating tax and tips, and helping your kids understand the basics in their homework much easier.
Don't be afraid to up your math skill set, it doesn't take much to make numbers make sense again!

I started tutoring my fellow classmates in High school when they figured out I was better at explaining concepts than our teacher.
I am a certified math tutor through a class taken at Chapman University.
I have taught a total of two years at a Math Learning Center where I taught kids at their grade level, above their grade level, and well below their grade level. I also worked with an adult who wanted to prepare for the math section of an upcoming assessment test at her job.
