Hand-thrown Blue Ceramic Vase

This is a lovely dark blue hand-thrown vase. It measures 8" high and 4 1/2" across at the lip; 5 1/2" across at widest point. It has beautiful even curves all the way around and was thrown by a master potter. Signed with artist's initials (JQE) on the bottom.
An interesting bit of trivia about this piece, the artist later went on to be a highly placed member of the Obama administration in the Department of Education. How's that for a piece of history? And you could get it right here on Simbi.
