My wife and I moved to Denver, from Northern Illinois in June 2013, and absolutely love it! We enjoy outdoor activities, we love having the mountains at our doorstep (comparatively). I enjoy all aspects of photography and love hiking to remote locations to photograph the mountains and other scenery. -Ashley
I have been a photojournalist in the Air Force for the past few years, I initially started as an aircraft mechanic and cross-trained into a career field more suited to my ambitions and passion in 2009. This required attending the Defense Information School (DINFOS) in Ft. Meade, MD, where I graduated as a Distinguished Honor Graduate. While my graduation from DINFOS didn't result in the commencement of a traditional degree, the coursework is equivalent to a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Photography. In 2011, after deciding to pursue a traditional degree, I graduated from Kishwaukee College with an Associate of Arts degree. I am currently working on my Bachelor of Science degree and expect to graduate in August 2014.
After graduating from DINFOS, I took over as the Multimedia Manager for the 115th Fighter Wing in Madison, WI, which consisted of video production, graphic design, photography and marketing/advertising. Despite stepping down from working full-time in this position in August 2010, I remained an active participant in the Multimedia office and helped with the same duties and tasks part-time during my monthly attendance, up until my separation from the Air National Guard in May 2013.
