Technical theatre resume review
Technical theatre resumes are very very different from other resumes, but I often see theatre resumes formatted completely wrong coming across my desk. An incorrectly formatted resume screams that you have zero professional theater experience, and unless your past jobs are AMAZING, these wrong resumes go straight into the junk pile.
I'll look over your resume and work with you to make it better, so you'll have better luck booking gigs. I'll specifically look at:
*Past positions - order and importance
*Special skills section
The best way to do this would be to have an email conversation, but I can work with you to find the best way to help you.
Training & Qualifications
I have been doing theatre in school since 2005, and I am now a theatre professional with 3 years' management experience - meaning 3 years of reading over people's resumes to find someone to hire. I have worked in regional theaters in the past, and I now work for an international touring company. I have only worked in theaters in the US.
I do NOT have experience with casting or hiring actors or understudies. I can proofread those resumes, but I do not have the experience to help you edit it to get the roles you want.
