I will teach lessons in Appalachian clogging and flatfooting, for groups of 1+, with joy and attention. Happy to do one-off lessons if you just want to try things out, or ongoing to keep developing your skills. I'll provide music, recorded or live, depending on how we're feeling. As you like, we can also talk about the history of the dances and how these styles of dance and music have come to be where they are.
Training & Qualifications
I've been studying dance in various forms for most of my life, and have focused heavily on flatfooting and clogging for the past couple of years, performing and teaching with a local group and attending annual camps for further study. To add background to my study and dancing, I've also undertaken research projects into the history and evolution of the forms.
Availability & Preferences
My schedule is highly irregular, frequently flexible, but I often work weekend nights; most other times are negotiable! If you wear shoes that make sound (don't need taps but hard soles are nice) then you are likelier to have happy knees and learn faster cos you'll hear yourself. Price negotiable too.
