About Angela Jackson
As a video editor for over 5 years, I am well qualified for any straight forward or creative video editing as well as simple to intermediate graphics. I work best in a structured environment with a well informed producer and/or director.
I have studied media for several years, and went to Pasadena City College to learn about Television Production, Video Editing and Graphics, Audio Production, and Screenwriting. I learned on software such as AVID Media Composer, After Effects, and Autodesk Maya. I worked on state of the art equipment, including a Grass Valley Studio Switcher, Studio Cameras, and other relevant studio equipment.
I received my first media internship in 2012, at a local TV station in Monrovia, CA, where I not only got a chance to build practical editing skills, but also practice a large range of skills including, but not limited to, lighting, camera operation, technical directing, audio set up and managing, color correcting, simple motion graphics, mutli-cam editing, and exportation using a variety of programs including Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Encoder.
Later, I was brought on as an assistant editor at a media production, equipment manufacturer. My focus was mainly on media ingestion, file layout, color correction, rough cut/strings, motion graphics/special effects, and exportation with a heavy dose of graphic design for product photos using programs such as, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Apple Motion, and Apple Compressor.
When that position ended, the TV station in Monrovia was in need of another editor and I was hired as an official part time editor.
