I am a home sewer, most familiar with women's wear. I can tackle your pile of mending for a reasonable price, or hem those pants that were perfect everywhere except the length. I'm comfortable doing hand work, such as embroidery and/or beading repair. Does your favorite dress have a broken zipper? Or is the lining crumbling in that beautiful vintage purse you bought? I would love to help restore or fit your favorite items!
Although I've dabbled in Men's Tailoring, I prefer not to work with men's suites that need a lot of tailoring. I can handle seam repair, lining rips, shortening or lengthening the cuffs and bottom hem, replacing buttons, etc.
Training & Qualifications
I started delving into the world of Fiber Arts at a young age, and fell in love with costume creation in my teens. Over the years, I have taken several classes to further my skills, and have worked in several costume shops around the Seattle area.
Availability & Preferences
Very open availability, though I am most certainly a night owl.

About Amethyst Beach
Seattle Native, or just about, who loves the rainy days that make me stay inside and work on one of my many sewing projects. I have also recently gotten really into coloring, I find it incredibly calm...ing, as well as creatively inspiring. It sorta gives me a chance to figure out sewing math or fit issues. I do still have a "Day Job", in that I work for a local celebrity chef in one of her 3 restaurants (guess who?!). That takes up 3 nights a week, generally, so the rest of the time I can "play in my sewing room". show moreOpen to other proposals
